The Book Stall is an independent bookstore with a busy book-related events schedule located on Chicago's north shore, specializing in fiction, children’s books, and history, among a host of other topics. Recent guests have included Valerie Bertinelli, and Hillary Rodham Clinton. BUT! On Thursday, March 8 you will get the talented, amazing, warm, and wonderful Ellen Blum Barish!

Ellen Blum Barish has told stories at Essay Fiesta, Story Sessions, Story Club North, Is This a Thing and Do Not Submit. Her essays have appeared in a variety of literary publications and on WBEZ Chicago Public Radio. She teaches writing at Northwestern and North Park universities and Columbia College, facilitates small workshops and coaches writers one to one.
