  • Alisa Rosenthal @ Uncommon Ground!

You're Being Ridiculous is super excited to be back at Uncommon Ground, Edgewater with a fun fall show for you! AND ... we're delighted to welcome Alisa Rosenthal to YBR to share a story with us ... learn a little about Alisa here and get your tickets!

Alisa Rosenthal is a musician and teaching artist. A true old millennial, she works approximately a thousand jobs. You can find her around the Old Town School of Folk Music, Lurie Children's Hospital, the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers, and playing kids' music at a surprising amount of downtown office holiday parties.

What are you thankful for this year??

    1. I'm thankful to have a brain that doesn't overheat at the thought of the singular use of "they." AND I WAS AN ENGLISH MAJOR - IF I CAN GET OVER IT, ANYONE CAN.

    2. Having newfound vocabulary to express consent and discomfort. If I don't want to be hugged by you, male coworker, I'm just gonna tell you I don't wanna be hugged!!

    3. Not being in my twenties anymore. I loved my twenties, don't get me wrong. How was I able to look amazing in EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO? But now at 32, I have such a deeper appreciation for the finer things in life, like making soup, passive aggression, and a night spent in.
