You're Being Ridiculous is super excited to be back at Uncommon Ground, Edgewater with a fun fall show for you! AND ... we're delighted to welcome Jessica DiMaio to YBR to share a story with us ... learn a little about Jessica here and get your tickets!
Jessica DiMaio is a Chicago native and graduate of Columbia College’s Fiction Writing program, who has since switched over to non-fiction because the truth is always stranger. When she isn’t writing, you can find her at her day job as an esthetician, which has given her very passionate opinions about eyebrows and skincare. She has read for the live lady lit event, Miss Spoken, and is very excited to be performing with You’re Being Ridiculous.
What are you thankful for this year?
1. Yoga With Adriene on YouTube. My day job basically requires me to hover over people for a living, and doing yoga every day with a personality that is both silly and soothing helps to keep me strong so I don’t break my back.
2. I recently took a ten day trip to the Pacific Northwest, and even though it’s arguably prettier than the Midwest, it made me appreciate how much more sun we get. Our seasons in Chicago are all over the place, but I’ll take it over constant gray and gloom.
3. I recently entered midlife, and it turns out that it was nothing to be afraid of. People and lifestyles can change, but that doesn’t mean that the fun is over.
