What are your three wishes for 2019??
1) Temporary internet blackout. I love the internet. Except when I don’t. I love what it offers me. That is, when it’s not offering me empty distractions and shallow ego-validation. So I’m hoping there will be internet blackouts timed so as not to disrupt the positives—connection with friends and family, opportunities for self-promotion (hello!), and endless access to information—that will free me from the negatives (90% of the things one does online).
2) Reason, sanity, and compassion. Because these appeared to be in short supply in 2018.
3) Uninterrupted time. Preferably spent in my recliner with a book and glass of wine. And my dog.
