After teaching middle school English for 20 years, Meg “graduated” to high school, where she is a Health teacher and Equity coach. She lives in a conservation community in the north burbs with her wife and menagerie of rescue animals. Meg is passionate about helping young people grow into good humans. She’s also a certified yoga instructor, a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor, coaches three sports–and is working on her Ed.D.—because why not toss a doctoral program into the chaos for funsies? Meg tells stories around the Chicago area and won The Moth Chicago GrandSlam in 2023. She has a tendency to tell stories that make people cry—in a cathartic, “I swear I’m fine” kind of way—and dreams of writing a YA series someday
